Game Day: Terriers host Minnesota State--UPDATED

#2 Terriers return home for a two-game series with Minnesota State with Friday night’s game at Agganis Arena set for 7:30 p.m. The Family & Friends Weekend series marks the first-ever meeting between the schools. The game will be live-streamed on TerrierTV.

BU (2-0-0) is coming off a 3-2 OT win at Quinnipiac. Sophomore Patrick Harper, who has a hand in six of BU’s seven goals, is tied for the scoring lead in the nation (4G, 2A). Freshman Shane Bowers has two goals including Sunday’s game-winner.

Sophomore Jake Oettinger was in goal for BU’s first two games, but WTBU Sports reports that Coach David Quinn says sophomore Max Prawdzik will be in the line-up tonight.

The Mavericks, who finished third in the WCHA last season and were 22-13-4 overall, were picked to finish first in the conference’s pre-season coaches’ poll with nine of 10 first-place votes.  After thumping Regina, 8-0, in an exhibition game, they were blanked in their home opener by St. Cloud, 4-0, despite putting 42 shots on goal.

Minnesota State’s offense is led by Marc Michaelis (36 points last season), Daniel Brickley (31) Brad McClure (28) and Zeb Knutson (25).  Returning goalie Jason Pawloski, who had a 2.10 GAA and a .920 save percentage last season, is joined by former Terrier and graduate transfer Connor LaCouvee (2.70/.921 in five games).
